Greenwich Police say they were on patrol in the area of Horseneck Lane between Field Point Road and Arch Street when they observed a vehicle traveling east and crossing over the painted double-yellow line into the westbound lane of travel on Thursday, July 4 around 3 a.m.

Officers initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Martha Maduro, 47, of Greenwich.

Maduro was asked to participate in a series of field sobriety tests, which police say she did not pass.

Maduro was arrested and charged with operation while under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane.

Maduro was unable to post her $250 bond but was transported to Greenwich Hospital and released on a Promise to Appear due to medical complications. She is scheduled to return to court on Thursday, July 18.
